Update on Josh 10/9/16 9:30 pm

Day 12:

There has been no change in Josh's condition. He is still running a low grade fever, battling pneumonia, and un-responsive.

Doctors took Josh for a CT scan of his spine this afternoon. We should have the results tomorrow. As Josh begins the next phase in his recovery the doctors want to know his spine is in good shape before he gets into more strenuous physical therapy.

Tomorrow Dad and I will be driving down to Buena Vista to see where the accident took place, collect some things from Josh's house, meet with the police, and meet some of the men that saved Josh. I know that will be a very emotional trip and ask for prayers of peace for the two of us.

We will also have a new round of doctors starting rotations tomorrow and ask for prayers over the new medical staff that will be attending to Josh. We also ask for continued prayers for his pneumonia and for his lungs to strengthen enough to be taken off the ventilator completely.

The doctors keep telling us that this is a marathon. I do not know what mile marker we are on with this marathon, but pray that these next few miles are downhill. I think the most difficult thing about a marathon is not knowing how far you have gone or where the finish line is. Pray for endurance for our family.

Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

All In For Josh
